▷ Naruto: 7 villains who became heroes

Gaara of the Desert wasn't really a  villain  from the start. He was more of a misunderstood individual who was turned into a weapon by his father, Baki, and Orochimaru. He was one of the first and most intense villains to be converted by Naruto's pleas and attempts at understanding.

Since then, Gaara has saved Rock Lee from Kimimaro, has become the Kazekage, and has been a critical part of the Allied Forces during the Fourth Great Shinobi War. Naruto helped Gaara turn his life around, and he has become one of Konohagakure's most valuable allies.

Actually, there wasn't much of a chance of turning Kaguya Otsutsuki into an ally, as she was on the verge of destroying everything shortly after her return. He was an ancient and immensely powerful being that Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura did not fully understand from the beginning.

Naruto  and Sasuke used the Planetary Devastation technique to seal Kaguya and re-divide her into the nine Tailed Beasts.

Zabuza Momochi and Haku aren't really villains either. They were hit men, yes, but they had some interest in the welfare of Kirigakure, or the Village Hidden in the Mist. They adhered to their code and would have fought to the end against Kakashi and Team 7, but, more than anything, Haku and Zabuza were unfortunate souls. In the end, Zabuza died fighting the crime lord, Gato.

When they were resurrected by the Edo Tensei, Zabuza and Haku had no interest in participating in Obito's grand plan, and begged Kakashi to finish him off quickly and even expressed their interest in how well Naruto and the Team were doing. 7.

Kimimaro Kaguya is one of those rare characters where audiences learn how serious and tragic his backstory is, but Kimimaro remains a villain until the very end. The Kaguya Clan was quite brutal, and Kimimaro himself had a degenerative disease, but still he fought until his last breath to try to kill Rock Lee and Gaara.

Kimimaro was also resurrected by the Edo Tensei, but this did not present a chance of redemption for Kimimaro.

Everyone believed that Obito Uchiha had died during the Third Great Ninja War. His teammates, Kakashi and Rin watched everything collapse on top of him. However, Obito survived and was taken in by Madara. Obito grew up and became the true leader of Akatsuki.

He started the Fourth Great Ninja War under the name Madara Uchiha. However, after Naruto successfully used Talk-no-Jutsu against him, Obito realized his mistakes. Later, he helped Naruto and the rest of Team 7 defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Danzo is the most hated character in the entire series. He was the driving force behind the Uchiha Clan's massacre. Danzo wanted to protect the Hidden Blade at all costs and was willing to go to any lengths to protect it. Danzo took advantage of the chaos following Pein's invasion of Konoha.

He became the Hokage temporarily due to Tsunade's health. Danzo stayed true to his principles until the end, where he was killed by Sasuke.

Orochimaru was a member of the Legendary Sannin. He used to be Hiruzen's favorite student and was the leading candidate for the position of Fourth Hokage. However, Orochimaru deviated and they were kicked out of the Hidden Blade by Hiruzen. Orochimaru wanted to learn each and every one of the Jutsu and managed to prolong his life with a special Jutsu.

When Orochimaru was revived again by Sasuke, they helped him revive the previous Hokage.

Black Zetsu was the manifestation of Kaguya's will. To think that it was a person who manipulated people like Indra Otsutsuki, Madara Uchiha, and Obito Uchiha is just shocking.

Black Zetsu changed the writing on the stone tablet of the Uchiha. Black Zetsu managed to revive Kaguya Otsutsuki. He caused a lot of destruction and was only stopped after Team 7 defeated Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Nagato Uzumaki was announced as the "Child of Prophecy" by Jiraiya because he had the Rinnegan. Jiraiya trained him and two other orphans from Amegakure. He has high hopes for all of them, but things took a turn for the worse. Yahiko committed suicide to prevent another war from breaking out.

This was a traumatic experience for Nagato and she decided that she would achieve peace in another way. Nagato was about to destroy the entire Hidden Leaf. But, after meeting and talking to Naruto, he realized his madness. He revived everyone who had died with the help of his Rinnegan.

Madara Uchiha was the leader of the Uchiha Clan during the Warring States Period. He was the reincarnation of Indra Otsutsuki. Madara was a rival of Hashirama Senju throughout his life and only thanks to his cells was Madara able to awaken the Rinnegan.

Madara had planned everything, including his resurrection, and managed to achieve his dream of "Infinite Tsukuyomi". However, the celebrations were cut short because Black Zetsu betrayed him. Madara remained true to his cause until the very end.

Kabuto was a student of Orochimaru. He didn't have the best of influences, no doubt. Kabuto was inspired by Orochimaru and his hard work to become an immortal and learn all the Jutsu. He managed to learn the Serpent Sage Mode and with his new power, he was even able to fight a team of Sasuke and Itachi. Kabuto also improved the Reanimation Jutsu. He helped Obito and led to the start of the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Kabuto would have remained evil if Itachi hadn't used the Izanami on him. Kabuto helped Sasuke and after the war, he founded his own orphanage.

Deidara was a rogue ninja from Iwagakure. He joined Akatsuki when he was just a child. Itachi gave him a great beating, prompting him to join Akatsuki. Deidara was Sasori's partner and they both had different views on art.

Deidara killed countless people and only cared about getting the job done. His explosive style faded when he faced Sasuke in a fight. Deidara tried his best to beat Sasuke, but his opponent was too much. In the end, Deidara attempted suicide along with Sasuke, but once again failed.

Itachi Uchiha had always been a hero, but no one really knew about him and his past. It was only after Itachi's death that his past was revealed by Obito. Itachi bore the burden of having murdered his clan, including his parents. He had to leave the village and then joined Akatsuki.

Despite the Hidden Blade's behavior, he continued to protect it from harm. The reason the Fourth Great Ninja War didn't start earlier was that Obito was afraid of Itachi. He knew that his plans could be ruined by the prodigy Uchiha. Even after Itachi came back to life, he helped Sasuke stop Kabuto and his minions.

The last character on the list is Kisame Hoshikage. Kisame was a missing ninja from Kirigakure. He was a soulless man who carried out all the missions without fail. He even attacked his own teammates.

Kisame's abilities made him a troublesome foe, as he could simply absorb chakra-based attacks. In the end, he committed suicide to fulfill the mission.
